Mindlab Franchise making learning fun

Watch children playing board games with each other, running a three legged race or playing football – they’re not only having fun but also learning cooperation, teamwork, role clarity, strategy and tactics.

Not by force shall the youth learn, but through play. Plato

Mindlab - making learning funAt the heart of MindLab is the belief that the most productive way of learning is through fun and hands-on experience and that game playing provides the perfect tool. However, today’s busy lifestyles and passive entertainment from computer games, television and automated toys often leaves little time for our children to develop key social, emotional and thinking skills through active face to face interaction with their friends and peers.

At MindLab we offer children the chance to discover and develop these essential skills. Using specially selected board games, puzzles, social and card games from around the world, the carefully planned, yet fun-packed curriculum captivates children’s attention and systematically helps them to develop crucial thinking skills, life skills and personal qualities, including:

Mindlab - making learning fun

The positive impact of MindLab on children’s development is supported by research which shows that children who follow a MindLab curriculum demonstrate a substantial and lasting improvement in strategic reasoning and problem solving skills as well as standardised maths and verbal reasoning tests.

Kids can't get enough of it - MindLab is stimulating and great fun

Parents love it - MindLab provides an extended school day that is safe, fun and highly enriching.

Schools love it – Schools are under pressure to provide more supervised after school care. MindLab provides a fun programme which improves children’s scholastic performance, at no cost to the school.

Demand for MindLab facilities is huge but you can chose how large to grow your MindLab business and reap the corresponding financial rewards.

Franchisees love MindLab too!

I decided to buy a MindLab franchise because it was something so very different to all the other structured learning programmes which are out there. I really wanted to get my own children involved because it just seemed so exciting.

Operating a franchise is something totally new to me, so I was conscious that I may need a lot of help. MindLab Europe has been very supportive every step of the way, always offering advice and supplying us with lots of information on what works best. I feel confident that I can contact MindLab Europe about any issue and they will support me all the way. I find the curriculum very exciting with extremely well thought out games. The lesson plans are so clear that even someone with little or no teaching experience could teach the lesson.

Parents regularly tell me that their children really look forward to MindLab classes and can't wait for the next lesson. I have found head teachers, teachers, secretaries, caretakers etc in the schools all to be really helpful. They make the MindLab teachers feel very welcome in their schools. I regularly assist the MindLab teachers and enjoy every minute of it. What can be difficult about playing a few games with the children! The children really love it when they get to play against the teacher.

Paula Rowlands, MindLab Bracknell

If you feel as excited by the MindLab philosophy as we are, are interested in developing children, enjoy games and puzzles, are personable and energetic, can speak convincingly about something you believe in and would like to become part of this rapidly growing programme then we have career opportunities for you as a MindLab Franchisee.

MindLab will provide you with the know how, curriculum, materials, training and support to ensure your franchise is financially successful.

MindLab also provides an attractive part time income, flexible working hours, the satisfaction of self employment, a network of like-minded individuals and enables you to make a positive contribution to children’s development, their families and the wider community by helping children to improve scholastically, build better personal relationships and learn how to tackle life’s problems and challenges.

The business of children’s development is a growth market.

Mindlab - making learning funMindLab is unique, we know of no other structured curriculum based programme which teaches children such a variety of skills thorough such an enjoyable process. Children, once exposed to a MindLab taster session, are desperate to attend the programme and have driven our growth.

Parents want their children to succeed and will invest time and money to aid in their child’s development. MindLab consistently enrolls 10-40 +% of the pupils in a school when an after school Mindlabprogramme is launched on site.

Schools want to improve their students social and emotional skill development but do not have the curriculum flexibility to address these life skills. Schools are under pressure by the Government to offer quality after school activities and provision for working parents but school staff are reluctant to add more hours to their existing teaching schedules. 95% of the schools we have met directly have supported the launch of a MindLab after school programme at their school.

As a MindLab franchisee you will receive everything you need to launch your own business.

The cost of a MindLab franchise, which gives you exclusive rights to run MindLab programmes in a specified geographic territory, is £9,750

A contract extension fee of £5,000 is due in five years.

MindLab will receive on ongoing royalty of 12% of student revenues , or the minimum performance targets, which ever is greater, as per the following schedule:

1st year - £100 per month   (commencing 3 months after signing for the next 9 months )

2nd year  - £1 50 per month

3rd year - £200 per month

4th year and hereafter - £250 per month

Franchisees will need to purchase or lease a Renault Kangoo van, which will cost approximately £200 per month to lease or approximately £2,000-6,000 to buy (including VAT). MindLab will provide the brand logo and livery for the van.

Our projections show that even with moderate class sizes and part time hours, a franchisee can expect to benefit from a profitable business. The revenue a franchisee can earn from running MindLab classes depends entirely on the amount of time they want to invest in their MindLab business and the size of their classes. As an example, if a franchise has an average number of 20 students per class and runs 15 hours of MindLab classes per week, in a 34 week year they will make over £44,000 of profit.
